LSU School of Veterinary Medicine Confers 120 Degrees

The Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine proudly celebrated its 49th annual Veterinary Medicine Commencement on Friday, May 16, conferring 120 Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees. The ceremony, presided over by Oliver A. Garden, BVetMed, PhD, DACVIM, DECVIM-CA, dean of the school, included a commencement address by special guest Jose Arce, DVM (LSU 1997), past president of the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Laurie Lipsey Aronson, representing the LSU Board of Supervisors, conferred the degrees, and Madison Hopper (Class of 2025) opened the ceremony. Program speakers also included Pamela Mitchell, DVM (LSU 1992), president of the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association, and Brennan Pitard, DVM (LSU 2016), president of the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association. Phillip Saint Martin, DVM (LSU 2025), closed the ceremony.
