LSU Vet Med is a biomedical research institution as well as a veterinary school. Our researchers' investigations cover a wide range of disciplines, including cancer biology, disease processes, cardiovascular disease, infectious and parasitic diseases, neurosciences, toxicology, bacteriology, and more.

As migratory birds make their way south for the winter, the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine is reminding Louisiana residents to be aware of the increased risk of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI), commonly known as bird flu, and to take precautions when encountering sick or injured wildlife.
LSU Vet Med to open 32nd International Exhibition on Animals in Art
The LSU School of Veterinary Medicine will celebrate the opening of its 32nd International Exhibition on Animals in Art with a reception Saturday, Oct. 10, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the LSU Vet Med Library. LSU Vet Med is located on the LSU campus on Skip Bertman Drive.
