Multicultural Greek Council
MGC at LSU
The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is the newest Greek council at Louisiana State University. Promoting and creating spaces for culturally-based fraternities and sororities, they are united by their goal to create spaces for students on campus who may not have one. The organizations within the MGC love to commit their time to community service, getting involved on campus, and supporting other organizations within Greek Life at LSU.

How to Join MGC
Registration & Recruitment Dates
There is no Formal Registration Process for MGC. MGC will host events during Welcome Week.
View each MGC Chapter pages to follow them on social media and attend their events when they announce new member recruitment.
- More details: MGC organizations at LSU host their own recruitment events when they’re looking to take new members. Each fraternity or sorority will individually host an informational session to students who are interested in joining, where they will learn information and next steps on joining the chapter.
- MGC organizations do not have to do recruitment each semester and there is no guarantee that recruitment will take place on a reoccurring occasion.
- It is recommended that students attend events sponsored by the respective chapter they’re interested in.
If you have any other questions, please contact the Greek Life office at 225-578-2171 or greeks@lsu.edu.
