Founded on the principles of brotherhood, scholarship, community service, and cultural awareness, the Betas are committed to embodying these values in their academic pursuits, professional development, and service to the community. Within just 30 years of its national founding, Sigma Lambda Beta has expanded to over 120 college campuses across the country, growing beyond its Hispanic-Latino origins to become one of the most culturally diverse Greek-letter organizations in the nation. The Epsilon Zeta Chapter at Louisiana State University was established in Fall 2023 and officially chartered on April 28, 2025. Since its founding, the chapter has taken pride in educating the LSU community about its mission and values, while actively promoting awareness around important issues such as women’s health and gender equity.
