Global Strategy Framework

As a high-profile public institution of higher learning, LSU has a unique responsibility to create solutions essential to the future of our state, the nation, and the world. To fulfill this responsibility, in 2021, LSU joined the American Council on Education’s Internationalization Lab, which provides customized guidance and support to universities seeking to establish a global strategy framework. The framework below is the result of the outstanding work of the lab participants, who represented all sectors of the LSU community; together, our community outlined the following steps to operationalize our commitment to Louisiana and the world. 

 

 

Global Action Steps

Across the university, LSU is working to achieve the following five global action steps. These steps support and complement the university's strategic goals. 

  1. Establish LSU as a thought leader in international education.
  2. Recruit the best global talent to study and work at LSU.
  3. Catalyze a globally informed and engaged community.
  4. Collaborate with global partners for mutual growth. 
  5. Activate long-standing connections to solve shared problems.

LSU Global Strategy
