Geaux Live 2025
January 22, 2025
Welcome back students, staff, and faculty and Happy New Year! The LSU Workday Student team has been looking forward to this semester for more than two years. Why? We anticipate student functionality in Workday, powering our new, modernized student information system, to be accessible to all students, staff, and faculty in a few short weeks. System “Go Live” – or Geaux Live – is fast approaching, and you need to know about this system and how it will work for you. The system will provide a uniform, cutting-edge experience across our student/staff/faculty ecosystem. From scheduling courses, accessing financial information, submitting grades, and checking on progression toward degrees, Workday will drive our excellent service and commitment to student success.
We would like to be sure you are aware of this momentous project and the 96+ step-by-step guides and resources available to help you familiarize yourself with the tool and let you know how this system will impact you.
- Students – Plan to use Workday to register for your summer and fall classes (March 2025/April 2025). Additional information will be shared with students about planning, advising and registration support.
- Staff (and faculty advisors) – If you work with students for course and registration-related activities, you can expect to use Workday in early March 2025 to advise students and assist with registration.
- Faculty – It will be business as usual for teaching faculty and instructors though the spring 2025 semester, and you can expect course functionality (grading, rosters, etc.) in Workday beginning in summer 2025 and beyond.
Faculty and staff may expect to receive additional information later this month about your role in Workday. In the meantime, the entire campus may check out these resources and keep visiting our website as content is continuously being added, like our FAQ page.
Staff who do not use the mainframe today may not be involved in this transition and should not be alarmed if they do not receive additional communication.
