Medical Emergency

• Call 911 and communicate as appropriate.
• Be prepared to provide the following information:
  • Your name and location
  • Description of the medical emergency
  • Approximate age of victim
  • Status of victim
    • Is the victim conscious?
    • Is the victim breathing?
    • Is the victim bleeding?
    • Does the victim have any medical condition(s)?
  • Do not move the victim unless they are in danger.
  • Provide first aid if you are qualified to perform it.
  • Stay with the victim to reassure that help is on the way. 
  • Have someone ready and waiting for the first responders outside the building.
